IDEB 2018: Slovakian Army considers indigenous UGV

Compel Industries has showcased the third prototype of its UGV-150 platform at IDEB 2018 after completing tests with the Slovakian Army.

The Slovakian-built UGV, on display in its ISTAR configuration, is a multipurpose unmanned vehicle designed to operate in off-road and urban environments.

According to Julius Horvath, project development engineer at Compel Industries, the ISTAR UGV-150 has been tested with the Slovakian armed forces who have expressed an interested in the surveillance variant. The company is also developing a weaponised model, which is expected to be market-ready in around a year.
