Aero India 2017: Heron TP-XP heading to Bengaluru

An export version of the Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) Heron TP UAV will be introduced at Aero India in Bengaluru, India, which runs from 14-18 February.

The new system, dubbed the Heron TP-XP, is a development of the original aircraft that has been in service with the Israel Air Force since 2010.

Shaul Shahar, executive vice president of the military aircraft group at IAI, said that the Heron TP-XP 'introduces air supremacy at a higher level than currently exists in India', with an emphasis on greater flight speed and higher operating altitude.
