Elbit Systems has announced that a Helicopter Long-Range Active Sonar (HELRAS) dipping sonar has successfully completed a sea acceptance test onboard the Seagull USV.

The sea acceptance test was conducted by the Israeli Navy.

Coverted for use on a USV, the HELRAS will significantly enhance detection capabilities and effectiveness for unmanned anti-submarine warfare (ASW) operations.

Elbit Systems' Seagull multi-mission USV features switchable, modular mission payload suites and can perform ASW, mine countermeasure missions, EW, maritime security and hydrography using the same vessel, mission control system and data links.
