Eurosatory: Thunder makes some noise

Bluebird Aero Systems are continuing the upgrade programme for the ThunderB tactical UAS, which recently flew in an extended range variant for more than 24 hours.

The company also revealed that they will add a new 3D mapping payload.

Existing capabilities include a range of around 150km, 24-hour endurance for monitoring, persistent surveillance or information gathering and battle damage assessments. A recent flight was sustained for 25.5 hours and officials told Shephard they were looking at 30 hours with a payload in the future.
