Eurosatory 2012: Mira introduces UGV surveillance configuration system

Mira has introduced the Mira Autonomous Control Equipment (MACE) Guardsman surveillance configuration for UGVs.

Nigel Skellern, business development manager of defence at the company, told Shephard during the Eurosatory exhibition: ‘We’re here because we want to export it. We’re looking to transfer this technology internationally.’

A Land Rover UGV was displayed with a Selex camera and Boomerang sniper detection system onboard, and Skellern explained that this particular vehicle is used because the UK already has them in service, so knows how to operate and maintain them.
