European Union expands UAV maritime surveillance service providers

Elbit Systems and CEiiA have become the latest team to be contracted to provide UAV services to support the European Union (EU) in monitoring waters across Europe

Contracted under a framework agreement by the European Maritime Services Agency (EMSA), Elbit’s Hermes 900 medium-altitude, long-endurance UAV will provide long-range surveillance in support of coast guard functions in the EU, under a deal that was awarded in September but only announced at the end of October.
