Enhanced UTAP-22 Mako in testing
Kratos Defense and Security Solutions has completed a flight test series evaluating the next evolution of the UTAP-22 Mako UAS, the company announced on 10 August.
The UAS, designed as a highly survivable aircraft for tactical missions and tactical payload operations/delivery, was first introduced and demonstrated in late 2015.
Mako has been integrated with a suite of mission systems typically used on manned aircraft as part of work by Kratos to build on previously demonstrated mission sets and take the UAS' operational capabilities to a more advanced level.
