Bell to demo Autonomous POD Transport to US military

Bell is preparing to show off a new UAS capable of ferrying medical supplies, food or even weapons to troops in remote locations.

Under development for several years, the company used the Army Aviation Association of America's annual conference to display the Autonomous POD Transport (APT) for the first time and said that this autumn it will demonstrate the capability for the US military.

Eldon Metzger, a Bell UAS program manager, told Shephard that the company is now pushing the platform to meet the emerging military and commercial market for UAS transport capabilities.
