BAE Systems unveils littoral Talisman UUV

BAE Systems has used UDT Europe as the launch pad for the latest version of its Talisman family of UUVs, which was unveiled on 9 June. The new UUV Talisman L is a much smaller system that retains the core technologies of the Talisman M.

The 'L' stands for littoral and indicates the operational basis of the vehicle which ways 50kg and is two man portable. According to programme manager Andy Tonge the company began working on the Talisman L and expects to have the prototype in the water in July.
