Avalon 2017: Team Reaper forms in Australia

Team Reaper Australia, led by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc (GA-ASI), was formally launched on 28 February, the opening day of the Avalon Air Show in Melbourne.

The alliance was assembled to meet the Australian Defence Force's (ADF) requirement for an armed MALE UAV under Project Air 7003 Phase 1 to provide an integrated and persistent intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and attack capability.

As well as General Atomics, the Team Reaper Australia industrial grouping includes Cobham, CAE Australia, Raytheon Australia and Flight Data Systems.
