AUVSI 2014: IAI UAVs top million hour mark
IAI’s UAS portfolio has accumulated over one million operational flight hours worldwide, the company announced on 8 May.
‘Heron has accumulated over 200,000 operational flight hours with extensive use in combat in Afghanistan and other hotspots around the world,’ explained Joseph Weiss, IAI’s president and CEO.
Figures include the operation of the latest upgrade of the Heron UAS- the Super Heron Heavy Fuel (HF)- which was debuted at Singapore Airshow 2014.
The Super Heron HF is being displayed at the AUVSI Unmanned Systems conference in Orlando, marking the first time the platform has been displayed to the US market.
