Commercial UAV Expo 2018: Autel’s Kestrel takes to the skies
In a step away from its traditionally commercial products, Autel Robotics is launching two new VTOL UAS to meet more professional and industrial demands.
The company displayed the Kestrel and the Dragonfish for the first time at the Commercial UAV Expo held in Last Vegas. The Kestrel made its first public flight during demonstrations of 1 October in the Nevada desert.
Developed out of Germany in partnership with the University of Munich the Kestrel is the larger of the two systems with a MTOW of 14kg and a payload weight of 2kg.
