AUSA 10: Second Gray Eagle QRC operational

Speaking at the AUSA Annual Meeting Col Greg Gonzalez, Program Manager UAS for the US Army, confirmed that a second Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) based on pre-production models of the Gray Eagle MALE has become operational.

A first QRC was deployed to Iraq late last year to support US Army operations by providing much needed ISR capabilities. Since deploying the aircraft have flown over 6,000 hours and Gonzalez said that they were providing valuable feedback to the programme. He added that the QRCs were critical in giving feedback that is being wrapped in to the initial operational test and evaluation
