Singapore Airshow: RAAF to enhance C-130J training

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) announced its Plan Jericho, a fundamental reappraisal of the way in which it would use its synthetic training systems, in February 2015.

In essence, Jericho provides the backbone of a more connected and integrated approach to simulation by the RAAF and, although less than a year into the programme, results are already being seen.

One such development centres on the RAAF’s C-130J training that is provided by 285 Squadron at RAAF Base Richmond, NSW. The squadron provides all aircrew and maintenance training for crews of the 12 C-130J aircraft operated by 37 Squadron.
