ITEC 2018: Dutch Air Force acquires UAV simulator

The Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) 306 Squadron at Leeuwarden Air Base has received a desk-top simulator for UAV training, the Dutch Ministry of Defence announced in early May. 

This simulator is part of a project that is managed by the European Defence Agency (EDA) and is an element of a network of training simulators for unmanned aircraft.

The Medium Altitude, Long Endurance (MALE), Remotely Piloted Air System (RPAS) Training Technology Demonstrator (TTD) project has been established to provide up to nine networked procedural trainers to the European MALE RPAS Community.
