Saab Training Systems has used I/ITSEC to showcase its new training tool for military observer/controllers (O/C) that is designed for use during live, laser-based tactical exercises.

Known as We:Are, the application can run on smart phones or tablets and provides the O/C with a number of different functions to improve his integration with the exercising troops and also to input events such as fire missions or create minefields.

The system provides the O/C with a 360 degree virtual view of the battlefield that allows him to visualise in real-time things such as engagements, troop and vehicle movements and opposing forces.
