At a ceremony at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, Lt Gen Steven Kwast took over the command of USAF’s Air Education and Training Command (AETC) Vice Lt Gen Darryl Roberson.
The ceremony was presided over by Gen David Goldfein, the USAF’s Chief of Staff who stated that, ‘airpower starts here in Air Education and Training Command.’
The command was established in 1993 and today comprises around 35,000 active duty and reserve component members along with 14,000 civilian personnel and contractors. The command’s mission is to: ‘recruit, train and educate airmen to deliver air power for America.’
