I/ITSEC 2017: BISim unveils new IG concept
Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim) has unveiled a new simulation technology to help international militaries train for operations and cut costs.
VBS Blue IG, expected to be released to customers in February 2018, is the company’s latest image generation technology and an upgrade from the current VBS3.
The open modular system uses a WGS-84 round-earth rendering image generator and integrates with CIGI-compliant simulation hosts to create realistic scenery. With the simulation technology users can train for real-world ground and flight operations at home or in the field.
For example, by flying UAVs over terrain militaries can capture data
