USSOCOM seeks academic research partnership

United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is exploring the feasibility of entering into a long term contractual agreement focused on a research partnership with an academic institution within a two-hour travel distance from its headquarters at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.

According to a request for information (RfI) released on 7 November, USSOCOM “requires access to applied research [as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 35.001] and advanced technology development that can be uniquely supplied with a relationship with a dedicated academic partner.”
