The diverse use cases of Artificial Intelligence (AI) have been turning it into a critical tool for Special Operations Forces (SOF).
The US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has disclosed a list of “capability needs” to be considered at the 2018 Special Operations Forces Warrior Industry Collaboration (SOFWIC) and Joint Special Operations Command Capabilities and Technology Expo (JCTE).
According to the organization’s procurement division, industry have been invited to Tampa, Florida on 24th and 25th October in order to “facilitate the delivery of innovative capabilities” for special operations forces.
Areas of interest range from mobility and C4ISTAR through to survivability and lethality solutions, with events aimed at providing industry with an improved understanding of the needs and focus areas of USSOCOM
