SOFIC 2018: USSOCOM looks to next generation information awareness

The US Special Operations Command’s Program Executive Office (PEO) SOF Warrior has started to generate plans to explore a next-generation warfare concept capable of optimizing 'Tactical Information Awareness in a Contested Environment,' senior service officials have disclosed.

Addressing delegates at the recent Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC), a representative from the Program Executive Office (PEO) for SOF Warrior described how the command had designated the concept as the 'Next Generation Information Awareness' (NGIA).
