Singapore hones SF capabilities in joint exercise

Commandos of the Singapore Armed Force (SAF) maximised their training opportunities at Arizona’s Barry M. Goldwater Range alongside air force counterparts in Exercise Forging Sabre 2017.

A small team of Commandos of the Special Operation Task Force (SOTF) took part in component training with the Republic of Singapore Air Force, including insertion via military freefall from a CH-47D Chinook, and ambush missions with sniper rifles.

Shephard witnessed them training with the Knights Armaments M110 semiautomatic 7.62mm rifle and Sako TRG 22 7.62 bolt-action rifle.
