Global SAR units take to the sky

Search and Rescue (SAR) units from around the world gathered in Israel to share concepts of operation, tactics, techniques and procedures with senior service officials stressing the importance of international collaboration.

Exercise Sky Angels, a two-week training program, which concluded on 20th November, saw force elements from the Israeli Air Force’s (IAF’s) Unit 669 working closely with partner forces from the US, Italy, Croatia, the Netherlands, Canada and the Czech Republic.

According to Lt Col "A", Unit 669 Commander, who remained anonymous due to security concerns, the aim of the exercise was to “improve the unit’s operational knowledge
