Surface Navy 2019: CUSV looks to Milestone C and weaponisation
Textron and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is looking forward to a Milestone C decision in 2019 for the Common Unmanned Surface Vehicle (CUSV), part of Unmanned Influence Sweep System (UISS) programme.
The company is also continuing to develop a surface warfare package for the USV and demonstrated various weapon payloads at the end of 2018. The company was unable to specify what weapon systems were used.
A Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) was signed in 2018 for the development of the surface warfare package.
