Saab is to provide its RBS15 anti-ship missile for the German Navy, under a SEK1.7 billion ($194.39 million) order from Diehl Defence.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2022 and finish in 2026.

The RBS15 missiles and launcher systems will be installed on Braunschweig-class corvettes.

In addition to RBS15 systems, the order also includes associated equipment and services. The German Navy has used RBS15 since 2011.

More orders worth SEK1.5 billion could be placed in future under a framework agreement between Saab and Diehl Defence, the Swedish company noted in an 11 September statement. The agreement allows orders to be placed until the end of 2024.
