Indonesia trials maiden Tank Boat
A Cockerill 3030 turret is the feature of the X18 Combat Boat. (PT Pindad)
PT Pindad, lead integrator for the so-called ‘Tank Boat’, launched a prototype craft in Banyuwangi, East Java on 28 April. The boat has now proceeded to manufacturer sea trials for the whole month of May.
The X18 Combat Boat with foil-assisted catamaran hull is armed with a 30mm cannon and two 12.7mm machine guns in a Cockerill 3030 unmanned turret from John Cockerill Defense.
This configuration of the 18m-long craft is destined for the Indonesian Army (TNI-AD) to perform riverine patrols in rivers and coastal waters. It will be known as the Antanesa, with this prototype ordered in
