BAE Pacific 24 boat build set to grow
The Royal Navy (RN) is likely to order more Pacific 24 Mk IV Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIB) from BAE Systems once the initial order for 60 is complete, according to the company.
Speaking to Shephard a company official said that it is expected that up to four more are to be ordered by the service.
The original 60 boat build is due to come to a conclusion in Q1 2019 and to date 43 boats have entered service with the RN, two of which are on board the new Queen Elizabeth Class carrier.
