Algeria and Russia partner on patrol ships
Algeria and Russia have reached an agreement for the purchase of a new Project 22160 patrol ship and the construction of three similar ships during the next several years.
The patrol ship will be supplied to Algeria by the Gorky Zelenodolsk Shipyard, a Russian ship manufacturer and designer.
The contract is valued at about US$180 million. Delivery of the Project 22160 patrol ship is expected to be completed by September 2018, by this time the building of further ships in Algeria will begin.
