Typhoon MRAPs for Russian SF
Up to 40 Typhoon armoured vehicles will be supplied to Russian land forces by the end of 2016
As part of the contract with Ural Automobile Plant and Kamaz, which produces the Typhoon, it is planned that at the initial vehicle will be mainly supplied to Russian intelligence battalions and Special Forces brigades.
Ural Automobile Plant is in talks with the MoD about construction of the Typhoon-U model, which may be started this year. At the same time, construction of Typhoon-K – another version of the vehicle – may be started by truckmaker Kamaz.
An official spokesman from Kamaz said
