SOFIC: Team TALOS prepares for USSOCOM demo
US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) chief Adm Bill McRaven will review the first working demonstration of the Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit (TALOS) on 19 June, it has emerged.
Speaking to Shephard at the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC) in Tampa, USSOCOM programme manager for TALOS Mike Fieldson said the presentation would comprise several ‘first generation’ variants.
McRaven initiated the TALOS programme one year ago with a request to the Special Operations Research, Development and Acquisition Center (SORDAC) to launch a ‘new effort in soldier protection’.
