French Scorpion testing gathers pace
As the French Army prepares for the first delivery of the Scorpion programme’s first Jaguar vehicle in 2018 the Direction générale de l’armement (DGA) is ramping up its simulated testing area in Bourges.
SISPEO, the DGA’s simulator unit for land systems, has been working on test and qualification since its inauguration in 2013. Its primary task has been to test and recommend technology concepts for the Scorpion programme.
SISPEO has two cabin simulators alongside a computer room, but later this year the DGA will take delivery of a further five cabins and up to 150 PCs, according to a spokesperson.
