Russia’s wheeled Koalitsia emerges
The Koalitsia-SV self-propelled artillery system has been developed in a new version on a wheeled chassis.
The first photos appeared on the Russian internet in early June showing the new 2S35-1 Koalitsia-SV-KSh derivative.
The original Koalitsia-SV self-propelled system uses a tracked chassis, while the wheeled one has been in development since 2013. It uses an eight-by-eight KamAZ-6560 chassis with an unmanned turret, and just like the original tracked version, the two-man crew is accommodated in a dedicated compartment in an armoured cabin in the forward part of the vehicle.
