Russia moves to further enhance armoured vehicle fleet
The Russian MoD has provided a major boost to the Russian Ground Forces, officially announcing the signing of a fresh contract for the supply of BMP-3 IFVs.
In one of the largest contracts involving the supply of combat equipment to the land forces in several years, a total of 168 BMP-3 IFVs will be delivered during the period of 2020-21 under the RUB14.25 billion ($232 million) agreement.
All the vehicles will be produced by KBP Instrument Design Bureau, with 53 vehicles supplied this year and the remaining 115 in 2021.
