Russia delays Kurganets-25 production
The launch of series production of the Kurganets-25 family of armoured combat vehicles has been postponed beyond 2021, Russian officials have disclosed.
The delay was revealed by Yury Borisov, Russia’s deputy defence minister responsible for the procurement of new defence equipment, during a visit to Traktornye Zavody company in Volgograd, which has developed the Kurganets-25 and undertaken small-scale production for testing and evaluation purposes.
Borisov also claimed that the Russian MoD had no intentions to abandon the project and instead it would like to give the manufacturer additional time to undertake detailed testing of the new platform’s engine, transmission and
