PLA unveils Hong Kong kit
The Hong Kong Garrison of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) displayed two new pieces of equipment at open days in the territory on 1-2 July.
These include a new 4x4 special forces vehicle and an 82mm mortar.
The Dongfeng EQ2050 Mengshi (Brave Warrior) is a copy of the American HMMWV, which has been in use by the PLA in Hong Kong since 2010. However, a fast attack variant of the 1.5t 4x4 utility vehicle appeared in the territory for the first time in July.
