Ocelot LPPV ready to roll next year
Force Protection (FP) and Ricardo are positioned to start mass production of the ‘Ocelot’ light protected patrol vehicle (LPPV) by the end of the year, should the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) select it ahead of Supacat and NP Aerospace’s SPV400, company officials have told LWI.
Speaking at the official launch of the 4x4 Ocelot LPPV at the Millbrook Proving Ground near Bedford, FP Europe managing director David Hind said Team Ocelot would be in a position to have manufactured between 30 and 40 vehicles by the middle of 2011.
