Leonardo aims for M60 modernisation market
Leonardo continues to push its M60A3 overhaul and upgrade offering, which provides operators of the legacy main battle tank with an opportunity to enhance its performance for today’s battlefield.
The company used this month’s inaugural BIDEC exhibition in Bahrain to showcase its solution to regional M60 users.
The Royal Bahrain Army has a fleet of 180 M60 Patton MBTs, while other operators in the region include Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia.
The modifications includes integration of a new 120mm x 45 cal. gun with a fire control system, as fitted to the Centauro
