IDEX 2017: Denel targets Middle East market

Denel recently began delivery of RG-31 Mk5 mine-resistant vehicles to the UAE and now the company is keen to highlight its capabilities during IDEX as it expects rapid growth in defence spending in countries in the Middle East.

Denel has also supplied the UAE with 4x4 N35 armoured vehicles under a similar contract to that of the RG-31 Mk5s.

IDEX will be a vital sales opportunity for the company as 60% of Denel's revenue comes from exports. The company will be keen to make contact with top defence decision-makers and industry leaders from Gulf countries such as the UAE, Oman,
