Hungary plans to significantly increase military spending over the next several years.
Viktor Orban, prime-minister of Hungary has stated that this is not due to recent Russian military activity in Eastern Europe and he has continued direct dialogue with Moscow.
Csaba Hende, Hungary’s defence minister has stated that next year Hungary’s defense budget will be increased up to 299 billion forints (€955 million), which is by 48 billion forints (€154m) more than in 2015.
