Eurosatory: RTD displays VAB Mk III for first time
Renault Truck Defense (RTD) is showing the Vehicule de l’Avant Blinde (VAB) Mk III at Eurosatory as it eyes new export opportunities.
A spokesperson from RTD told Shephard: ‘VAB meets a gap in the export market for a medium weight Armoured Fighting Vehicle.’
VAB Mk III is based on the original VAB but will have increased power, up to 4.7t extra payload, enhanced tactical situational awareness and reinforced protection.
‘The vehicle is suitable for combat and riot-control missions and can carry up to 2+10 troops,’ the spokesperson said.
Various configurations are available including an Infantry Combat Vehicle and Armoured Personnel
