DVD 2016: Prototype robust vehicle on track
BAE Systems showcased their robust vehicle concept as a prototype for the first time at DVD 2016. The long-term plan is for it to become a full-sized vehicle.
The proof of concept vehicle has the capacity to withstand blasts from mines and IEDs. The prototype is still undergoing trials.
The highly robust ground vehicle’s mission can be viewed via a 360° camera which is onboard the platform, this enables the ground team to visualise the mission of the vehicle via a cue sight helmet.
