Cubic receives EST 2000 FMS order for Lebanon
Cubic Global Defense has been awarded a foreign military sales follow-on order for additional Engagement Skills Trainer 2000 (EST 2000) shelters, logistics support and maintenance equipment for the Lebanese armed forces. The order, which was announced on 19 May, is worth over $1.25 million.
Cubic expects the additional items under the order to be delivered and in use by September 2015.
EST 2000 uses high-definition screens, digital video projectors, ballistically accurate weapons and game-based computer graphics for marksmanship, collective and escalation of force training.
Bill Toti, president, Cubic Global Defense, said: ‘This contract is a continuation of our strong partnership with the US Army and the US government in support of the goals and missions of our national security and foreign policy. Cubic’s virtual training systems are best in class and this continuing procurement demonstrates our customers have confidence in the EST 2000.
‘Cubic is committed to providing the products, services and support needed by the Lebanese armed forces to support their readiness and increase their ability to defend their nation in this important region of the world.’
