COLAR will use the vehicle to form the first company of a new mechanized infantry group to be established in the La Guajira region of Colombia that borders with Venezuela.
The delivery is part of a $65.3 million direct commercial sales contract signed by the Colombian MoD via the Canadian Commercial Corporation in December 2012.
The number of LAV-III’s procured to date is 32 up from the 24 originally reported in the January 2013 contract announcement and deliveries
