BMT to support Revision Military's LAV work
BMT Fleet Technology will provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and advice to Revision Military for its work on Canada's Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV) 6.0-Reconnaissance (Recce) programme, BMT announced on 18 August.
Revision Military's $20 million contract with General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada will see it provide the capability to silently power the LAV Recce's on-board sensor suites. BMT Fleet Technology will support and advise Revision Military in its efforts to complete the multi-year contract.
Darcy Byrtus, president, BMT Fleet Technology, said: ‘I am delighted that Revision has selected BMT to provide the critical analysis necessary to ensure the stringent reliability, maintainability and supportability requirements of this multi-year project are met throughout its product design and implementation cycles.
‘Designing for logistical support is a critical aspect of the engineering and design of LAV upgrade. Successfully executed logistical support analysis can prevent costly changes, long out-of-service periods and shortfalls in mission performance. BMT’s extensive experience in the field of ILS programme design and training enables customers to optimise operational availability in the most cost effective manner.’
