AmSafe, IBD collaborate on survivability solution
AmSafe Bridport has signed an agreement with IBD Deisenroth to develop integrated vehicle survivability solutions using technologies from both companies, it was announced on 15 September.
The agreement will see IBD's PROTech Suite and AmSafe's Tarian RPG armour system integrated to provide survivability solutions applicable to all military vehicles, including heavy tracked vehicles and lightweight 4x4 vehicles.
The Tarian RPG armour system is made up of a strong textile net manufactured from high-tenacity fibres. Tarian nets can be attached onto vehicles with flexible mounts as an alternative to conventional heavy, slat armour or metal bar RPG protection systems.
Richard Betts, sales and marketing director, AmSafe Bridport, said: 'The co-operation with IBD will give both companies the possibility to provide effective and innovative integrated survivability solutions.'
