Saab reveals new submarine models
Saab Kockums is looking to tap into an expanding submarine market with two alternative boat types announced during its annual submarine seminar.
The Swedish company expects that there will be a demand for 80 new submarines to be replaced over the next 15 years.
To this end, the company announced a Pelagic model submarine to serve customers requiring smaller submarines and an Oceanic Extended Range which will be larger than the current A26 design for the Swedish Navy.
