French MoD pushes forward with maritime anti-mine strategy
The French MoD will launch an operational assessment phase of its future anti-mine warfare system between 2016 and 2017, it has been revealed.
Addressing the media in Paris on 30 September ahead of the Euronaval exhibition in October, MoD officials announced that a preferred partner for the Système de Lutte Anti-Mine Futur (SLAMF) programme would be selected next year.
It is understood that two undisclosed companies are competing for the tender with involved parties including Thales, DCNS and ECA.
