Air Power 2017: UK MPA squadrons announced

The reformation of 120 Squadron and 201 Squadron, RAF, will see the first P-8 Poseidon MPAs operated from RAF Lossiemouth in Moray to protect the UK’s maritime interests and requirements.

Making the announcement at the Air Power Conference 2017 at the IET in London Sir Michael Fallon, UK Secretary of State for Defence, added that the future role of the P-8 will be further enhanced by the partnerships with other international operators and industry.

The first unit commanding officer for 120 Squadron was also announced at the conference, who will oversee the formation of 120 and 210 in April
