Singapore Airshow 2018: F-35B makes it debut (video)

The USMC first entered the Asia Pacific region with its F-35B 12 months ago when the next generation fighter arrived at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni in Japan. In July 2017 two F-35B flew from Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni to Kadena Air Force Base, Okinawa, Japan.

The aircraft will now make its Singapore Airshow debut appearance before heading to Thailand in mid-February to participate in exercise Cobra Gold. 

The F-35B is the STOVL variant of the jet, while some nations in the Asia Pacific region operate the F-35A none have the STOVL variant.
