Sweden offers Finland Gripen development partnership for HX
The Swedish MoD has said that Finland can play a part in the development of Saab’s Gripen E/F multirole fighter jet should the aircraft be selected for the latter country's HX programme.
The offer was revealed by Peter Hultqvist, Sweden’s Defence Minister, during a 16 February media briefing held by Saab. The Swedish MoD has put its full weight behind securing an HX contract on behalf of Saab, with the manufacturer offering both the Gripen E/F and GlobalEye AEW&C.
